This school had not seen any significant renovations or additions in over 30 years. As a result, the project required substantial renovations to the 1961 and 1976 portions of the building. Major upgrades to the kitchen, restrooms, mechanical heating and ventilation systems, water systems, and roof systems were included. The project also incorporated a new middle school size gymnasium with provisions for a future performance stage. The school comfortably serves up to 300 children. The rear, south facing wall of the gymnasium was fitted with a passive solar heating wall which preheats the ventilation air prior to entering the system.
