Russell Homestead

Barton, Vermont

Originally constructed in the 1800’s, this rambling farmhouse reflected years of renovations and additions to accommodate the growing family and its needs. Renovations included structural repairs, removal of the original milk house and consolidation of spaces. A two-story addition includes a master bedroom suite with a balcony, office, entertainment space and a two-car garage.

Downstairs the rooms flow openly from the office/entertainment area, through the kitchen to the dining and living space. Formal dining and living areas are separated by a gas fireplace which is located at the formal front entry to provide a sense of warmth and welcome. Other features include replacing the sun porch with an interior columned sunroom and upstairs balcony.
