This brick and granite dormitory was one of the first constructed at Norwich University. Over the years the original windows had been replaced with smaller windows, the parapet, corbelling and crenellations had been removed. The overall result diminished the elegance and beauty of this historic structure.

 

Working with Norwich University’s campus architect, EHDanson provided design and documentation services which included removal and replacement of a previously constructed addition with a larger addition housing bath and dorm rooms, redesign of the interior spaces to accommodate a student lounge on each floor, replacement of the original windows and reconstruction of the original parapet with its corbelling and crenellations.
