This facility serves small animal healthcare needs for many pets throughout the Northeast Kingdom. The facility was designed and renovated to combine four local veterinary facilities into one modern, state-of-the-art hospital.

 

Originally, the town purchased the abandoned, historic glove factory and initiated renovation to provide leasable space. Substantial improvements to the 12,000 sf building included adding exterior insulated metal panels, reroofing, and new windows. The south entry was modified to provide a more inviting street face and handicap accessibility.

 

KAH renovated the interior to suit their medical needs. The building includes high-efficiency heating and cooling systems using cold climate heat pump technology. The design maintained the industrial appearance with exposed structural, mechanical, and electrical lighting systems throughout. It also provides a clean and welcoming environment to pets and their owners coming in for treatment.
