After spending several summers in the area developing a youth running camp program, our clients purchased several acres of property on a hillside overlooking the Town of Lyndonville as a place to construct their special second home. The design incorporates large areas of glass to provide a view of Lake Willoughby's carved glacial mountains from virtually every living space in the house. Other features of this beautiful home include a wine cellar and a modest apartment above the garage for the caretaker. In addition, a long serpentine driveway bordered by beautifully landscaped gardens provides access to the house. The environmental control system is programmed to allow the owners to communicate with the heating and ventilation systems from their full-time residence in New York.

 

Following the completion of this project, EHD was retained a to design an attached gazebo for three season enjoyment.
