Kaplan Residence Boltonville, Vermont When asked to provide a 140 square foot addition with a deck, we thought this would be a simple project. The addition was to be located on the river side of a former power generating station-turned-camp on the Wells River. Because the addition and deck extended over the river requiring inordinate approvals to support the structure from the river bed, we chose to support the extension from the side of the existing building with a web-like framework of structural steel beams.
