Barton Ambulance and Rescue EHD was asked to design an addition to the existing minimal facility to meet the growing needs of the community rescue service. The building was designed as a simple, no-frills addition to accommodate additional personnel and vehicles. The new addition features a frost-proof slab design utilizing extensive insulation around the slab perimeter in lieu of frost walls to control slab movement in heavy frost. This design allowed the foundation cost to be kept to a minimum thereby maintaining the project budget. Back to Projects  |
