Northfield Armory-Norwich
University Northfield, Vermont EHD assisted Norwich University in the evaluation and renovations
of the Northfield Armory building formerly owned by the Vermont National
Guard. Like many armories around the state, this building was comprised
of an office area on each floor on one side of the building with an
adjoining recreation/drill hall and indoor motor pool on the other side.
In addition, this facility had an indoor rifle range. The drill hall
(shown in the photos) was renovated to accommodate approximately 40
office spaces for the On-Line MBA program at Norwich. The lower floor
motor pool was altered to accommodate a high security anti-cyber terrorism
unit.
On both floors new ventilation, electrical/ data/telcom connections,
washroom facilities and windows were provided.
